Updates from our ONs |
Daisy began her career journey with a BA in Specialist Hair and Media Makeup at University College Birmingham, followed by an MA in Prosthetic Effects at Falmouth University.
After completing her master’s degree, Daisy joined Scruffy Dog, a Birmingham-based prop-making company specializing in theme parks and events. She also gained valuable experience during a placement at Madame Tussaud’s.
Daisy’s latest role has been as a Wigs, Makeup & Prosthetics Assistant on the new Stranger Things theatre production in the West End, where some of her own creations have graced the stage of the well-received show at the Phoenix Theatre. Despite the demanding pace and long hours, Daisy reflects, “I’ve learnt so much, all the ins and outs of how large-scale theatre runs and how to work/deal with actors and other departments.”
In her spare time, Daisy continues to hone her skills independently, creating props and prosthetics for private sale including a pair of swan's feet for a short film (see below). She also made a pixie doll prop for a short Amazon Prime film called "Mika's Hut" She aspires to work in a film and TV workshop as her career progresses .
Thank you to Daisy for keeping us updated through Mr Coyle and letting us use these amazing pictures, which you can view in the below media gallery.
