We were delighted to see ON Chris Beal (Class of 2010) return to Newport. During his time at Adams, he was a vital part of our CCF marching band and took part in band courses during his time at Sixth Form. After leaving, he decided to join the Royal Marines Band Service as a trombonist.

The band gave a short performance to start the day.  The students spent the morning in sectional rehearsals – woodwind, brass and percussion – playing alongside the Royal Marines Band musicians.

After lunch, the students and musicians performed together in a concert for pupils from local junior schools and Burton Borough, joined by invited guests including our Headmaster, Gary Hickey, and Head of Music, Jonathan Wysome.

Our music students thoroughly enjoyed the day and were grateful for the opportunity to receive professional guidance.
