After studying music at Cambridge, Joscelin continued with his music career. In April 2020, he released his first album, Winterreise, on the Bandcamp platform in April 2020. You can also listen to it on Spotify here. This album caught the attention of Greek film director Yorgos Lanthimos, who then approached Jerskin to write the score for his film "Poor Things" . The film has already won several awards, and won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. It was for this score that Jerskin was nominated for a Golden Globe.

During Joscelin's time at Adams, he excelled in music, amongst other subjects. Mr Biggins, who was head of Darwin during Joscelin's sixth form remembers:

“Joscelin was a superb musician and a major reason for the dominance of Darwin House in the early days of House Music. The time limits on solo performances came into play after his violin solo (that started with him taking the top off a piano and playing the strings inside with his hands) went on for seven minutes, without any sheet music to follow!”

Miss Bowater, who taught him for RE commented that

“He was also superb in the classroom, where he had a razor-sharp mind that could pull any philosophical argument to pieces.  He would love to sit back, listen to the various arguments put forward and then pull everything to pieces. Everyone was involved in a mental workout.”

Mr Hickey was very happy to hear the news of Joscelin's success and said “Joscelin was an outstanding student in many ways. Bursting with creativity and talent, and always caring deeply for integrity and honesty in the arts, especially in music. It is no surprise to any of us here at Adams that he has done so magnificently well.”

Jos's film score has since gone on the be nominated for a BAFTA and and Oscar too, so it looks to be a whirlwind season of award ceremonies ahead! Everyone here at Adams - especially the music department - are very proud, and wish Joscelin/Jerskin success in the rest of the awards season and for his blossoming career.
