We have a little treasure on display in our lovely new archive room - an original, although a little tatty, copy of King Charles I prayer book. It is one of only 40 to be printed as it was banned by Oliver Cromwell on pain of death. However, the school's first Headmaster, Thomas Chaloner and his family were staunch Royalists and were rumoured to have kept it despite any potential repercussions!
