Mr Adams' Free Grammar School by David and Ruth Taylor is a comprehensive history of the school's beginnings right up until 2002. Mr Taylor was the headmaster for 20 years from 1974 until 1993 so he and his wife - an historian - were perfectly placed to make full use of the school archives. The book contains pictures and maps dating back hundreds of years and some photos that will bring back memories for many.
