Back in the summer, the ON class of 1974 returned for the 50 year reunion. During that event, the group presented Mr Hickey with a flag that had been taken from the school on their last day.

Now, the flag has taken up a prominent position on the main wall of reception. ONs Nigel Williams and Michael Waldron returned to view it. In explanation for its half a century of absence, Nigel claimed, "Somebody felt sorry for the flag and decided to rescue it from the top of the building and take it on a 50 year adventure. It's been all around the world"

Now that the flag is safe and happy in its frame - away from the wind, rain and cold - it will last many more years!
